Maranatha hails teachers for good MSCE results

teachinclass2Maranatha International Academy has hailed its teachers for the good results in the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations which saw 179 out of 212 candidates at the institution passing, representing a 70 percent pass rate. This was above the national pass rate of 51.8 percent.

Maranatha managing director Ernest Kaonga said in a statement on Saturday that 122 of the successful students have qualified for the University Entrance Examinations (UEE).

Last year, the school sent over 20 students to the University of Malawi (Unima), according to Kaonga.
The results show that we are focused at providing the best education to our students because the highest got 10 points, he said.

Kaonga said the school owes its success to dedicated and qualified teachers coupled with the school’s conducive environment.

He said the school will continue to aim at increasing the good results through management of quality assurance drills which will continuously ensure that education delivery services at the institution are not compromised.

Maranatha Academy has intake for both boys and girls and said its intake continues increase, representing a tenfold business growth due to positive examination results recorded by the institution.

The school offers MSCE classes from form one to four as well as Cambridge classes for both O and A levels, including computer lessons.
